Hattiesburg duo Oh, Jeremiah has been tearing up the roads with an insane amount of touring this past year. With shows in seemingly every major city along the east coast, it would be easy to assume that the band has already amassed a wealth of support, and nearly 2,000 followers on Facebook would probably agree. But to hear Jeremiah Stricklin talk on stage between songs, alongside singer/violist Erin Raber, you get the impression that he would really like to hop off stage and shake the hands of each and every member of the audience, as if he’s still in total disbelief that anyone cares at all.
That humility, coupled with the emotive, always intimate sound of Stricklin and Raber harmonizing, may be exactly why anyone cares. Well, that and Stricklin’s fancy loop pedal skills as shown in this live solo performance of “Happy Now”.. a song that reminds us all to just chill already about our exes.
