Stepping back in time with DuBard’s Speakeasy

The DuBard School Speakeasy was developed following the DuBard School’s 50th Anniversary gala celebration. In 2012, the gala was such a success, guests were yearning for a follow-up event the next year. Determined to develop something unique to the area, DuBard School researched different event ideas and eventually came up with the DuBard School Speakeasy.

In addition to being a type of event different than any other in the local area, it’s a fun play on words. While event goers are enjoying a 1920’s ‘Speakeasy’ atmosphere, they’re also helping children develop their language skills so they too can ‘speak easy’.

This year’s DuBard School Speakeasy is scheduled for Friday, October 9. The event will take place in Hattiesburg, but in true speakeasy fashion, the specific location is secret — they’ll let you in on that detail closer to the event.

  • Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. But think about if you added some great pictures or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this site could certainly be one of the very best in its niche. Wonderful blog!
