Blackwater Brass gets their own brew

The crew over at Crooked Letter Brewery decided what better way to welcome folks to the 37th Annual Peter Anderson Festival this weekend than with a new beer. Head brew chief, Paul Blacksmith, drew inspiration from the boys at Blackwater Brass for this single release. Blackwater Brass Ale is a hot pepper-spiced IPA and will be available at Government Street Grocery in downtown Ocean Springs on Friday, November 6 while supplies last.

With over 400 artists represented, the Peter Anderson Festival is the largest art festival in the state and has been recognized as “Festival of the Year” by the Southeast Tourism Society. Festival organizers are introducing a stage featuring local musicians this year. If you need more dance time after Friday night, make it down to the festival stage at 3 pm on Saturday. The stage will be located next to the food court at the intersection of Cash Alley and DeSoto Street. With over 150,000 people in attendance last year, the beer is likely to not make it through the night. Get yours early!
